Here is a little bit about me. Originally from country WA, I have called the NT home for over 25 years. Not sure if I am considered a local yet. And I am definitely not sure where that time went! I blame it on the continuous feeling of being hot, and very hot and humid…hence the years really just slip away…
I have had various jobs over my lifetime from nursing to selling pearls in the remote town Broome, WA, to owning an award-winning restaurant here in the NT.
I have been practicing as a psychologist for almost 15 years. I have experience working in a range of settings including government, as we as with a well-known refugee centre in Darwin, the Melaleuca Refugee Centre. I have done extensive work in providing psychological support for clients under a EAP (Employment Assistance Program) with their employer. When the COVID lockdowns started I commenced providing a telehealth service to veterans. It is an honour to be doing this work.
As a Psychologist I am committed to my professional development so that I can support you in improving your mental health and quality of life, a life that is guided by values.
Warm Regards,
Jo

principles of ACT just make sense.
To further inform my practice I draw on a range of evidence-based therapies
